Living Goddess Kumari is worshiped at Hanuman dhoka which is considered as the ancient palace of Kathmandu, Nepal.

Kumari Puja was performed in the premises of the Taleju temple there.

Indra Jatra, a traditional chariot-pulling festival, is celebrated 1 month later. On the occasion, the traditional urn of Changu Narayan Temple of Bhaktapur brings in Hanuman dhoka.

After the puja, the traditional urn kalash is placed in the Taleju temple.
