Free health camp run in Siraha village

SIRAHA: The Nepali Army conducted a free health camp at Dahipaudi in Sukhipur Municipality-10 in Siraha district.

Initiated by the Choharba Barrack of the Nepali Army, the health camp was run to promote citizen-military relations along with providing basic health care services to the local community members with partnership of different organizations.

The health camp was held at the premises of Shree Janata Secondary School in Sukhipur under the command of Lieutenant General Sameer Shrestha.

Doctors and the health workers from Shree No. 27 Field Ambulance Company, Sagarmatha Chaudhary Eye Hospital, Provincial Hospital in Siraha, Phulkumari Mahato Memorial Hospital, Nepal Red Cross Society Blood Transfusion Service Centre Lahan, NCC Alumni Association Nepal and other institutions had an active participation in the service delivery.

Lieutenant General Shrestha said that services on dentistry, skin care, basic OPD service and blood donation as well as awareness raising programmes against snakebite, cold wave and fires were offered to the locals.

The Nepali Army said that altogether 460 people including 216 women and 244 men took free health care service in the camp.
