KATHMANDU: The HPV vaccination campaign against cervical cancer, which had been temporarily halted in mountainous districts due to adverse weather, will resume starting Sunday.
Snowfall in districts including Manang, Mustang, Dolpa, and Humla had disrupted the vaccination efforts.
Dr. Prakash Budhathoki, spokesperson for the Ministry of Health and Population, provided this update during a regular video briefing.
The vaccination drive will continue in Manang, Mustang, and Humla on Monday, while Dolpa will begin its vaccination on March 6.
The nationwide campaign, which ran from February 4 to 18, achieved 92% of its target, according to the Ministry.
