KATHMANDU: The Nepal Medical Association (NMA) election committee released its final list of 54 candidates on Tuesday, following a Supreme Court ruling.
The court ordered the inclusion of all aspiring candidates, leading to a highly competitive field where 18 individuals are vying for just six member positions.
The NMA published the updated list after holding consensus discussions with various professional factions.
This election is seen as a critical turning point for the medical fraternity, as the new leadership will be tasked with addressing long-standing issues regarding physician safety, workplace benefits, and healthcare policy reforms across Nepal.
