BEIT SHEMESH: At least eight people have been killed in Beit Shemesh following the latest missile attack launched from Iran, according to Israeli authorities.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said that Home Front Command search and rescue units, medical teams, and a helicopter for casualty evacuation are currently operating at the impact site. The commander of the Home Front Command is en route to the scene to oversee operations.
In a statement, the IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said that an initial review confirmed the early warning system functioned as intended and was activated in the Beit Shemesh area prior to the impact. The circumstances surrounding the missile strike are still under investigation.
Emergency response efforts remain ongoing as authorities assess the full extent of casualties and damage.
