LONDON: King Charles III has initiated the formal process to strip his brother, Andrew, of his remaining titles and honors, Buckingham Palace confirmed on Thursday.
According to Buckingham Palace, Andrew, who will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, was also served notice to vacate his Windsor residence, Royal Lodge.
This decisive action follows weeks of scrutiny, including renewed allegations in the posthumous memoir of Virginia Giuffre, claims Andrew continues to deny.
The Palace stated the censures were ‘deemed necessary’ due to his association with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and confirmed Andrew will be relocated to the Sandringham Estate.
