SINGAPORE: Singapore’s manufacturing output rose 8.3 percent year on year in December 2025, government data showed on Monday.
On a seasonally adjusted basis, overall output fell 13.3 percent from November.
Among the six clusters, electronics, transport engineering, and precision engineering recorded year-on-year growth, with electronics leading at 30.8 percent.
Biomedical manufacturing fell 38.8 percent year on year. The Singapore Economic Development Board said output in the pharmaceuticals segment contracted 69.7 percent due to a different mix of active pharmaceutical ingredients being produced compared with a year ago.
Chemicals also registered a year-on-year decline, while general manufacturing output remained unchanged.
