KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress leader Prakash Man Singh has lauded the role of the late Mangaladevi Singh in establishing the voices and rights of Nepali women.
In his address to a programme organised by the Nepal Women Association, Kathmandu District chapter here today at Mangaladevi Park in Buddhanagar today, marking the 100th birth anniversary of Mangaladevi Singh, the icon of democratic movement, leader Singh said Mangaladevi was of those fighters who had strongly voiced for franchise rights of women.
According to Chapter Chair Bishnudevi Pudasaini, the programme was organised to recall the struggles and contributions of Mangaladevi to the improvement of rights of women, establishment of democracy.
