RASUWA: At least 18 people, including 12 Nepali and 6 Chinese nationals, have gone missing after a sudden flash flood hit Rasuwa district early Tuesday morning.
According to police, the flood occurred around 3 AM in Gosaikunda Rural Municipality-2, Rasuwagadhi.
The District Police Office Rasuwa said nine individuals have been rescued so far from the incident site.
Among those missing are Assistant Sub-Inspector Lal Bahadur Shrestha, Police Constables Munan Thakur and Lokendra Bohora—who were deployed from the Timure Area Police Office for rescue operations.
The flood has also caused the Pasang Lhamu Highway at Gosaikunda-5 to collapse, disrupting road access between Dhunche and Timure.
Additionally, the flood damaged an EV charging station in Gosaikunda-2, sweeping away 7–8 parked vehicles.
The Customs Office yard in Rasuwa and the Rasuwagadhi Hydropower dam have also sustained damages, according to police reports.
