33 persons have been arrested for defrauding passengers who bought tickets to go home for Dashain from Kathmandu valley.

The Metropolitan Police Office has arrested those who sold tickets at a higher fares or selling fake tickets. Similarly, people who were selling the same ticket twice to passengers were also arrested and sent to the nearest metropolitan police circle or division for action.

The office has mobilized 1,468 manpower targeting festivals such as Dashain, Tihar, Chhath.
