NEPALGUNJ: As many as 415 new voters have been registered in Banke.

Voters have been added after the District Election Office, Banke started special voter list collection and update.

District Election Officer Tek Bahadur Shahi informed that only 415 people had registered their names in the voter list during a week in the month of Asoj (September-October) after the special voter list collection began.

He further informed that most of those registering in the voter list belong to young generation, with a majority below 35 . “It is noted that the registration of the voter list is increasing daily”, he said.

The District Election Office, Nepalganj, Banke had issued notices and circulars to the relevant local level governments and other concerned places since September 22 to update the voter list.
