SUNSARI: The water flow at the Koshi Barrage has reached 431,525 cubic meters per second, exceeding the danger level.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Keshav Kumar Thebe, the flow was particularly high as of 9:45 AM.

With the rising water levels, all 56 gates of the barrage have been opened.

The danger level at the Koshi is considered crossed once the flow reaches 300,000 cubic meters per second.

“The nearby settlements have been evacuated to safe locations,” Thebe confirmed.
