KATHMANDU: The Nepal Army was deployed to the Pashupatinath temple after an unruly group attempted looting and vandalism at the sacred site.

According to Army spokesperson Brigadier General Rajaram Basnet, a special tip-off prompted an immediate mobilization of troops to the temple area.

The Army has already urged an immediate halt to arson, vandalism, looting, and other unlawful activities spreading across the country.
