RAMECHHAP: Two inmates were killed on Thursday morning after the Nepal Army opened fire at Ramechhap Prison.

According to Chief District Officer Shyam Krishna Thapa, the incident occurred when prisoners attempted a jailbreak.

Fourteen others sustained gunshot injuries and are undergoing treatment.
