KATHMANDU: The final rites of Bipin Joshi, who was killed while in the custody of Hamas, will be performed today at the Bhujela Ghat on the banks of the Mahakali River in Mahendranagar.

On Monday evening, coinciding with Laxmi Puja, his body was brought to his residence in Bhimdatta Municipality–3, Kanchanpur.

The body was transported from Kathmandu to Mahendranagar by a Nepal Army helicopter after being flown from Israel to Kathmandu.

Upon arrival at his home, Israeli Ambassador to Nepal Shmulik Arie Bass, along with staff from the Israeli Embassy, visited the family to pay their respects.

According to a forensic report sent by Israel’s National Center of Forensic Medicine, Bipin Joshi died from a gunshot wound to the head.
