KATHMANDU: Both Houses of the Federal Parliament—the House of Representatives and the National Assembly—are scheduled to meet today.

The House of Representatives will convene at 11 a.m., followed by the National Assembly at 1:15 p.m., both at the Parliament Building in New Baneshwor.

The primary agenda for both sessions is to deliberate on the principles and priorities of the Appropriation Bill for the upcoming fiscal year 2082/83, excluding the tax proposals.

The government will use the recommendations and feedback from these discussions as a basis for drafting the budget for the next fiscal year.

Previously, the policy and program for FY 2082/83, presented by President Ram Chandra Poudel during a joint session, was approved by a majority in both the House of Representatives and the National Assembly on Sunday.
