KAVRE: The BP Highway is expected to remain closed for at least four days after the Roshi River damaged parts of the road and washed away some diversions, officials said.

An official from the Department of Roads, stated that preparations are underway to reopen the highway after four days.

The damage occurred following continuous rainfall on Saturday, which caused the Roshi River to erode sections of the highway.

The Ministry of Physical Infrastructure and Transport confirmed that repair work is progressing as quickly as possible to restore road access. A press conference held at the ministry on Sunday provided updates on the situation.

Reconstruction work has already begun at Chaukidanda in Namobuddha Municipality-6, Kavrepalanchok, according to the ministry.
