KATHMANDU: Former Kapilvastu MP Abhishek Pratap Shah filed a complaint at the District Administration Office, Kapilvastu, demanding an investigation against former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli in connection with deaths during the Gen-Z protest.

Shah submitted the complaint to Chief District Officer Dil Kumar Tamang on Saturday, alleging that Oli, who was prime minister at the time, ordered security forces to open fire.

However, Tamang clarified that the complaint could not move forward legally since it was filed in the wrong jurisdiction.

He said such complaints must be registered with the police where the incident occurred. Shah, a former Congress lawmaker, submitted the complaint on behalf of the families of those killed and injured during the movement.
