KATHMANDU: Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal has said that continuous monitoring and supervision of relief and rescue during the post-heavy rainfall disaster is being carried out.
Giving information via a video message today about the works being carried out for disaster risk reduction, he stated that continuous monitoring and supervision of the work is ongoing.
He stated that the ministry and its subordinate bodies have been issuing warnings from the beginning about the continuous rain since the evening of October 3.
He also informed that a review meeting was held among the chief district officers of all 77 districts, security agencies, the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, the National Risk Reduction and Management Authority, and other agencies to assess the ongoing works.
