KATHMANDU: Deputy Speaker Indira Rana has shared that the upcoming election is an opportunity to provided stability to the county and move it forward on the constitutional path.

Extending best wishes to all Nepalis at home and abroad on the occasion of Bada Dashain, 2082, Deputy Speaker Rana requested all to make the upcoming election to the House of Representatives fair, transparent and reliable.

“People’s representatives ensure people’s rights, strengthen democracy of the country through election. I believe that there will be support of all sides with active participation to make the election successful,” reads the message.

Dashain, which is celebrated receiving tika, jamara and blessings from seniors, is also taken as the special opportunity of family gathering, she stated, wishing good health, happiness and prosperity among all Nepalis on the occasion of Dashain.

Similarly, National Assembly Vice-Chairperson Nirmala Ghimire pointed out that people’s representatives should be more responsible on the issues like good governance and accountability.

In a message of best wishes on the occasion of Dashain, she opined that people’s expectation protection towards constitution, political stability and good governance has increased in recent period.

Ghimire expressed the view that active contribution of all political parties, civil society, media and every citizen is indispensable to make country stable, peaceful and prosperous.

“Festivals like Dashain hel further strengthen bonds between family, society and the nation. Best wishes to all on the occasion of Dashain,” reads the message.
