KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba has described the violence during the recent Gen Z protests as an “unimaginable and tragic event” in Nepal’s history.
In his Dashain festival message on Monday, Deuba expressed hope that the festival would serve as an opportunity to strengthen unity among communities, institutions, families, and individuals.
Deuba, who was severely injured during the clashes of September 8–9, remains hospitalized. Due to security reasons, he has not appeared in public, but conveyed his greetings through social media.
