KATHMANDU: The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has restricted flying kites, drones and balloons in the vicinity of Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA).

Managing Director at Airport, Hansraj Pandey, informed that reoccurring flying of kite, drone and balloon around the airport was banned, for it could pose threat to flight safety.

“We request one and all not to engage in such activities because these could seriously affect the safety of flight operations,” he said, warning of legal action to those violating the rule.
