KATHMANDU: An earthquake measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale was recorded near Kalapani in the northern part of Darchula district along the Nepal-China border at 9:24 pm on Tuesday.
The National Earthquake Monitoring and Research Center in Lainchaur confirmed the occurrence of the quake in Darchula district of Sudurpashim Province.
Earlier, Martadi in Bajura recorded the earthquake measuring 3.4 on the Richter scale on Monday evening. In recent days, small tremors have continued to occur in western Nepal.
