SANKHUWASABHA: An earthquake was felt in Sankhuwasabha, eastern Nepal, on Friday night.

According to the National Seismological Center, the quake struck at 11:15 PM with its epicenter in Maghang and measured 4.4 on the Richter scale.

Tremors were reported in several districts of eastern Nepal. No immediate reports of damage or casualties have been received.

Since the devastating Gorkha earthquake of 2015, Nepal has continued to experience frequent low-magnitude earthquakes.
