KATHMANDU: The final report on the crash of Saurya Airlines’ aircraft 9N–AME–CRJ 200 (call sign) has been officially released.

At a special event held today at the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation, the report was handed over by Ratish Chandra Lal Suman, chairman of the accident investigation commission, to Tourism and Civil Aviation Minister Badri Prasad Pandey.

Receiving the report, Minister Pandey stated that the commission had prepared an impartial report without any bias or external pressure and pledged the ministry’s full commitment to implementing its recommendations.

Immediately after receiving the report, the ministry also published it for public access via its official website.

The aircraft had taken off from Tribhuvan International Airport on July 24 last year for Pokhara for maintenance purposes but crashed near the runway.

The tragic accident claimed the lives of 18 individuals, while pilot Manish Shakya was rescued alive.

On the same day as the crash, the government had formed an investigation commission under the leadership of former Director General of the Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal, Ratish Chandra Lal Suman.

The commission prepared the report after conducting an in-depth study, investigation, and analysis.
