HETAUDA: In view of increasing cold, the Division Forest Office, Makwanpur has distributed firewood to the elderly care homes and temples in Makwanpur district.
Safety section chief at the office, Yadavindra Paudel, informed that the office provided firewood to the Om Senior Citizens Home at ward no 2, Bhuvaneshwor Pashupatinath Temple at ward no 4, Laxmi Narayan Temple at ward no 5 and Gorakeshwor Temple at ward no 10 of Hetauda sub-metropolis. The wood was provided in collaboration of various community forest users’ groups.
Meanwhile, Director at Chure Hill Hospital, Dr Ramchandra Sapkota, informed that number of people suffering from cold, fiver and respiratory problems was increasing in the wake of declining temperature. As many as 60 patients complaining of common cold, fever and pneumonia are visiting the hospital in a day.
Chief of District Public Health Office in Makwanpur, Kiran Shrestha, also informed the RSS that number of people with cold-related problems was growing at other health facilities like Mahahari Hospital, Bhimphedi Health Centre and Bakaiya Basic Hospital.
