HUMLA: Snowfall has begun in the high-altitude areas of Humla district.
After rainfall started on Thursday night, the upper regions witnessed snowfall from Friday morning.
Snow covered the ridges and mountains above Simkot, including Boksidanda, Panchamukhi, and Raling Himal, turning the landscape white.
Similarly, all high-altitude wards of Namkha Rural Municipality experienced snowfall, especially in Nara, Nyalu, and Lapcha areas, where the ground is now blanketed in snow.
This marks the first snowfall of the season, signaling the beginning of winter in the Himalayan district.
Snow has accumulated up to four inches in some areas. Although the weather is expected to clear soon, the snow has already increased cold in the region.
The snowfall occurred on the very first day of rainfall this year, making the mountains and ridges appear fully white.
