KAVRE: Five individuals trapped in the middle of the Roshi River due to flash floods triggered by heavy rainfall were successfully rescued on Thursday night.
The incident took place at Laskot in Namobuddha Municipality-5, where the sudden rise in the river stranded five people along with a JCB excavator and a tipper truck in the river’s middle.
Upon receiving information that the individuals were trapped, a rescue team comprising Deputy Superintendent of Police Min Bahadur Ghale of the District Police Office Kavrepalanchok, Armed Police Force, and the Nepal Army carried out a successful rescue mission, according to the district police.
Among those rescued were Sagar Rai, a laborer from Dudhkoshi Rural Municipality-4, Okhaldhunga; Muskan Tamang, a tipper driver from Namobuddha Municipality-5; and Sanjay Lama, a construction entrepreneur from Temal Rural Municipality-5.
Additionally, the police confirmed the rescue of Remon Tamang, a tipper driver from Temal Rural Municipality-9, and Samir Tamang, a JCB operator from Bhimeshwar Municipality-9, Dolakha.
