KATHMANDU: At least 11 major highways in Nepal have been completely blocked due to floods and landslides caused by recent heavy rains, officials reported on Monday.

Several other roads are partially blocked, allowing only one-way traffic. These include Dharchhe Road in Kathmandu, Mid-Hill Highway in Tehrathum, Galchi–Triveni–Mailung–Syafru road in Rasuwa, Kaligandaki Corridor in Baglung and Nawalparasi East, Prithvi Highway in Tanahun, Rapti Highway in Dang, and Saljhandi–Dhorpatan road in Arghakhanchi.
Authorities are working to clear landslides and restore normal traffic as quickly as possible.
