Four from Dhading missing in Uttarakhand floods

DHADING: Four Nepali nationals from Kafalpani, Jwalamukhi Rural Municipality-2 in Dhading, have gone missing after a severe flood and landslide in Uttarakhand, India.

The missing individuals have been identified as 53-year-old Lal Bahadur Tamang, 65-year-old Chholama Tamang, 55-year-old Phelama Tamang, and 48-year-old Singh Bahadur Tamang.

They had traveled to Dharali Bazaar in Uttarkashi for daily wage work and have been out of contact since Tuesday, following the disaster.

The families reported the disappearance to the local police post in Maidi, after which the Dhading District Police Office notified the relevant authorities.

The Chief District Officer has also coordinated with the Home Ministry and the Nepali Embassy in India to assist in the search.

Relatives of the missing individuals are preparing to travel to Uttarakhand to search for them, with help from community members and returned workers from the same area.
