KATHMANDU: Four key committees of the Federal Parliament are scheduled to meet today, including the Agriculture, Cooperatives and Natural Resources Committee; International Relations and Tourism Committee; Finance Committee; and Public Accounts Committee.
The Agriculture, Cooperatives and Natural Resources Committee will meet at 10:30 AM at Singha Durbar, where discussions will be held with the Ministries of Agriculture, Forests, Energy, Land, and Finance. The meeting will focus on the Prime Minister’s Agriculture Modernization Project, addressing topics such as irrigation, fertilizer availability, sugarcane cultivation, technological integration, subsidies, and market access.
At 11:30 AM, the International Relations and Tourism Committee will convene to internally review its annual report. Simultaneously, the Finance Committee will gather in its designated room at Singha Durbar to consult experts on proposed revisions to the Banking and Financial Institutions Act, 2073.
Later, at 1:30 PM, the Public Accounts Committee will meet to examine the draft of its 23rd report, consider findings from the Pokhara Airport On-Site Study Sub-Committee, and evaluate updates on complaint resolution and grievance handling.
