KATHMANDU: The government has declared martyrs to those killed during the Gen-Z protests happened on September 8 and 9.

Prime Minister Sushila Karki made this announcement while assuming her office at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers today.

Prime Minister Karki also stated that the families of those deceased would be given Rs 1 million in compensation.

Likewise, free treatment would be provided to the injured and some relief would be provided, PM Karki stated.

Furthermore, provisions to take the dead bodies up to the local levels of those killed persons would be ensured, the PM announced.
