KATHMANDU: A helicopter operated by Altitude Air crashed in Lobuche, Solukhumbu on Wednesday morning while on a rescue mission near the Everest Base Camp.
The aircraft, registration 9N-AMS, was piloted by Bivek Khadka and was carrying no passengers at the time of the accident.
The flight had departed from Lukla at 7:43 a.m. for a rescue operation.
Authorities confirmed that the pilot is safe and there were no injuries. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
