Home Minister inspects polling stations in Kathmandu and Makawanpur

KATHMANDU: Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal has assured that the upcoming election for the House of Representatives, scheduled for March 5, will proceed without fear.

During his visit to various polling stations in Kathmandu and Makawanpur today, Minister Aryal expressed optimism that all political parties will work together to ensure a peaceful and secure election environment.

He emphasized the importance of public engagement in making the election successful. Also the government’s spokesperson, Home Minister Aryal urged all relevant parties to prepare their constituencies while being vigilant against misinformation and false news circulating on social media.

The minister’s team inspected the polling station at Seti Devi Secondary School located in Pharping of Dakshinkali Municipality-9.

Furthermore, Home Minister Aryal gathered information regarding the overall security arrangements in the district, including the oversight and guidance provided by the Armed Police Force Nepal Riot Control Battalion in Kirtipur.

In addition, Home Minister Aryal monitored the polling centre at Indra Sarowar Village-18 in Makawanpur.

The team, which included Minister Aryal, also assessed the security situation at the outpost of Indra Sarowar Municipality.

A collaborative team, comprising district security leaders from both Kathmandu and Makawanpur, conducted thorough on-site monitoring and inspections.
