KANCHANPUR: Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak has said the contractors should maintain quality in course of infrastructure construction and complete the construction works on time.
Addressing the 28th annual general meeting and the 15th convention of Contractors’ Association of Kanchanpur organised here today, the Home Minister opined that the estimated cost of projects increases due to delay in completion of the development activities on time.
“The government will resolve the problems seen in the construction sector,” he said, pointing out the need of resolving problems as problems like lack of maintaining quality and delay in construction works have been seen in this sector in recent period.
Delay in completion of construction projects has increased cost of a single project up to 200 per cent. The construction entrepreneurs should not only be blamed for this, opined the Home Minister.
He underlined that the priory of the government is to accelerate development construction through policy reforms, laws reforms, good governance and ending impunity, adding the government has been working with an objective of reviving the economy.
The Home Minister urged the construction entrepreneurs to carry out development activities with confidence.
