Two people have died when their house collapsed in a landslide in Sayle Gaonpalika-6 Mellekh of Doti district due to continuous rain for the past three days.

The deceased have been identified as Sagar of Sayle-6 Mellekh and Ashish Kunjeda of 11.

According to Rabindra Chand, Joint Spokesperson of the District Police Office and Inspector of Police, Kunjeda was killed when his house collapsed due to rain.

A police team led by Inspector Kisan Chand has been mobilized from the Area Police Office, Mauwa to retrieve the bodies. Chief of Police, Dan Bahadur Malla informed that news of other areas could not be received due to the loss of communication in the district.
