KATHMANDU: Nepal is observing International Labour Day today with a variety of events organized by labor unions and workers’ associations to honor the historic achievement of securing the eight-hour workday and other labor rights.
To celebrate the day, trade unions and labor groups are holding programs across the country.
The Nepal Trade Union Congress plans to conduct a rally in Kathmandu this morning.
Likewise, the General Federation of Nepalese Trade Unions will host a gathering in the capital.
