KATHMANDU: The government has formed a judicial probe commission to investigate atrocities committed during the Gen Z movement.
A Cabinet meeting on Sunday appointed former judge Gauri Bahadur Karki as the chair of the commission.
Karki is a former chief of the Special Court.
The commission includes two members: former AIG Bigyan Raj Sharma and legal expert Bishweshwar Prasad Bhandari.
It has been mandated to submit its report within three months.
The Gen-Z movement witnessed widespread violence, in which 74 people were killed.
The commission will examine state actions, human rights violations, and accountability for the deaths and other abuses.
