KATHMANDU: The Karnali Highway has once again been obstructed after a landslide struck Gagane Khola in Shubhakalika Rural Municipality-1 of Kalikot district on Wednesday night.

According to the District Police Office, Kalikot, the landslide has blocked the highway for the second time in a week.

Earlier, a landslide at the same spot had disrupted traffic for four days, with the road being cleared only on Tuesday afternoon by the Nepal Army.

Police said the latest landslide is massive and will take time to clear. With the road closed, both passenger and freight vehicles have been stranded, leaving travelers stuck along the route.
