President Bidhya Devi Bhandari has appointed Khamma Bahadur Khati as the new Attorney General of Nepal.

President Bhandari appointed Khati to the post on the recommendation of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba. The appointment of Khati was made in accordance with Article 157 (2) of the Constitution, according to the Office of the President.

Earlier, Attorney General Ramesh Badal resigned from his post on Tuesday as the new government was to be formed after the Supreme Court’s verdict.
