One of the two people who were injured in elephant attack this morning died in course of treatment.

The deceased has been identified as Kritiman Khati, 19, of Deumai municipality-10 in Ilam. He died while undergoing treatment at Mechi Hospital. Khati was referred from Birtamod-based Birtacity Hospital for further treatment, said Spokesperson at the District Police Office, Jhapa, Rakesh Thapa.

Khati and Milan Karki Doli, 19, of Arjundhara municipality-1 were injured in elephant attack at Buddhashanti rural municipality-2 this morning when they were chasing the wild elephant after it entered the village.

Similarly, condition of Doli is normal and receiving treatment at Living Home Polyclinic, Budhabare.
