Chief Justice Cholendra Shumser JB Rana has administered the oath of office and secrecy to the newly appointed Attorney General Khamma Bahadur Khati. The swearing-in ceremony was held at the Supreme Court on Friday.

Earlier, the swearing-in of the Attorney General used to be held in the presence of the President. But since last March, all swearing-in to be administered by the chief justice are being organised at the Supreme Court.

Khati was appointed Attorney General on the recommendation of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba yesterday.
