MYAGDI: A landslide at Sirubari in Raghuganga Rural Municipality-2 has blocked the Beni–Jomsom–Korala section of the Kaligandaki Corridor, disrupting travel to Mustang.
The slide, which stretched from the Kaligandaki River to Majhkharka, has made the narrow, muddy road risky for vehicles.
Transport operators said falling rocks and debris have caused frequent blockages and danger to passengers.
The landslide zone lies about 800 meters above the river, threatening nearby settlements.
Two-way traffic is impossible, and vehicles often get stuck.
An official of the Beni–Jomsom–Korala Road Project said machines are on standby to clear debris.
Once the rain stops, repairs and cleaning will resume, with long-term control measures planned for Sirubari and nearby areas.
