LAMJUNG: Continuous rainfall over the past few days has triggered a landslide, blocking the Lamjung-Pokhara section of the Mid-Hill Highway.
On Monday morning, a landslide occurred in Bimirebhyang, Ward No. 9 of Madhya Nepal Municipality, covering the road.
Locals reported that the landslide included large trees and rocks. Small landslides and falling stones continue, keeping traffic suspended.
Vehicles traveling from Lamjung to Pokhara and vice versa have been stopped by the landslide. Efforts are underway to clear the landslide and reopen the road.
Meanwhile, vehicles are being redirected via alternative routes.
