MALEKHU:  A landslide struck Jarekhet in Galchi Rural Municipality-6 of Dhading today morning, blocking the Prithvi Highway.

Due to the landslide carrying trees and debris, two-way traffic on the road has been completely halted since early morning.

According to Suman Ghimire, Chief District Officer of Dhading, security personnel with equipment have been deployed to clear the landslide.

Vehicles heading to Kathmandu are stuck at Gajuri, while those coming from Kathmandu toward Muglin are halted at Adamghat.

With continuous rainfall increasing the risk of landslides at various points along the highway, drivers and travelers have been urged to remain highly cautious.
