KATHMANDU: Floods and landslides continue to block major highways and road sections across Nepal.
On the BP Highway, traffic has been disrupted in Kavrepalanchok’s Roshi Rural Municipality-11, including Mamtikhola, Buldhunga, and Dalabeshi, as well as in Sindhuli’s Nepalthok section due to landslides.
Similarly, on the Koshi Highway, landslides in Sankhuwasabha’s Makalu Rural Municipality-3 and Bhotkhola Rural Municipality-4 have halted vehicle movement.
On the Pasang Lhamu Highway, landslides in Rasuwagadhi’s Gosaikunda Rural Municipality-2 at Ghattekhola, Baluwakhani, and Tatopani have blocked traffic.
The Mitere Bridge, connecting Nepal and China and located in Gosaikunda-2, was damaged by floods in July, further obstructing movement.
Multiple road networks remain blocked, while electricity services have also been disrupted in affected areas.
Authorities are working to restore access, repair damaged infrastructure, and continue rescue and relief operations in landslide-hit regions.
