DAILEKH: One person has died after being struck by lightning in Dailekh district.

According to the District Police Office Dailekh, 31-year-old Dasharath Shahi of Chauratha, Naumule Rural Municipality–8, was killed by a lightning strike.

Police Inspector Lal Bahadur Sunar, the information officer at the District Police Office, informed that Dasharath was injured when lightning struck his home around 3:50 PM on Saturday.

He died on the way to Dailekh Hospital while being rushed for treatment. In the same incident, Dasharath’s three family members—his 27-year-old wife Bipana Shahi, his 11-year-old daughter, and 3-year-old son—were also injured.

According to Inspector Sunar, they have returned home after receiving treatment at Dailekh Hospital.
