KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division has stated that local and westerly wind patterns are having a partial effect on weather conditions across Nepal.

Currently, the weather remains partly cloudy in the hilly regions, particularly in Koshi Province, while most other areas of the country are experiencing clear skies.

By this afternoon, cloud cover is expected to increase in the hilly areas of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali Provinces, with the rest of the country continuing to see mainly clear weather. There is a possibility of isolated light rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning in one or two locations within these hilly regions.

Additionally, light rain and snowfall may occur in a few places within the higher hilly and mountainous areas of the same provinces.

Tonight, partly cloudy skies are forecast for the hilly regions of Koshi, Gandaki, and Karnali, while the rest of the country is likely to remain mostly clear.

The Division has urged the public to remain cautious and take necessary safety measures to protect against the potential effects of thunderstorms, lightning, rain, snowfall, and rising temperatures.
