KATHMANDU: The Madhesh Province government has declared a public holiday today on the occasion of Janaki Navami, also known as Sita Jayanti.

This has been stated in a notice issued today by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Communication, and Law of Madhesh Province.

The same notice also mentions that a public holiday will be granted on the upcoming 28th of Jestha to mark Kabir Das Jayanti.
