BAITADI: The Mahakali Highway has been blocked due to a landslide that occurred this morning in Salsena of Dogadakedar Rural Municipality-5.

The highway has been completely blocked due to the landslide, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Deepak Kumar Raya. The landslide fell from above the road bringing traffic to a standsill, and leaving passengers leaving for Darchula and from Darchula stranded.

Efforts are being made to clear the landslide debris and open the road for traffic in coordination with the Road Division Office and local bodies. Prior to this the highway has been blocked due to a landslide on Tuesday.
